Sorry For Loving You by Abhishek Agrawal!!!

Its the third book that I am reviewing within the time span of 24 hours. And the commonalities that all these three books share with each other is: Mahaveer Publishers. Actually, I picked this book because the last two books really impressed me and I enjoyed reading them. So, I thought let's go with the third book from the same publisher but "What a big disappointment this one was". I am still recuperating from the pain that I went through for last 4 hours. In fact, this is the first book from Mahaveer publisher that has failed to impress a very curious reader in me. Let's talk about the author first- "Abhishek Agrawal", born in Bhilai, did his schooling from Rajkumar College at Raipur and the writer in him blossomed when studying for B.Com. He enjoys riding, painting, singing and hanging out with friends. His strength lies in his family and friends and his weakness is LOVE.

"Sorry For Loving You" is a story of the protagonist- Aditya who loves Chahat without any limitation and confinement. He is mad in her love and can't imagine a second without her. But, she keeps on playing between him and the other guy- Vineet simultaneously. Aditya comes to know about this and he has several fights with Chahat over the guy. But, still, after few days he finds that she is still in touch with Vineet. And this keeps happening again and again in their relationship. Aditya starts feeling sorry for loving the girl he had loved. To know whether he goes into depression after this or he continues his relationship with her or his life takes some other turn, Get this book.

The author started the story with a scenario where you already know that the characters of this book are already into a relationship, and you expect not to get bored again by reading number of pages just to make both the characters come under a relationship. I expected a lot after reading the initial 10-15 pages of the book. But, as it is said, even if you are writing your own story, try to add as much fiction in it to make it interesting. And if you do this, only then call yourself a Writer, else you have been just lucky to get your personal diary published. This book is not a Love story, but it is a frustrating tale of how a girl keeps on fooling the boy through out the book, and like a DOG, boy keeps on waging his tail in front of her every time. And the boy is so emotional that he cries every time something uncertain happens in his love life (On the name of manliness, there was NULL in the character of the boy). Actually, not only the boy, but you can expect any character of this book to cry for silly reasons anytime.

The small things are described as if the bomb has exploded. It seems so so childish. Every sentence is written as if Author is trying to tell himself that I am writing an EPIC LOVE STORY but with every sentence, you keep on pulling your hair. More than lovely and romantic scenes in this book, the story seems as if all the characters are playing a game called Phone-Phone. In the whole story, 95% of conversations that are being described among the characters are done through the mode of mobile. And worst, one can disconnect the phone anytime in between because of the frustration (and leaves you frustrated). And, just to prove that the love between them was the best that is present in the world, Boy opining that the hug of the girl was better than that he got from his mother till date and he loved her more than his sweet parents, is a complete setback. At least, if you are unable to describe that the love between the couple was the best, at least don't compare a bitchy girl with Mother and Father. SERIOUSLY!! And, rather than keeping this book so lengthy, it could have been easily written in less than 150 pages. And one more thing, when you are writing an English language book, why do you keep using Hindi sentences after every damn paragraph? Huh! And Yes, The COVER PAGE of this book is BEST. :-) I would have rated this book just a star, but for its climax, I am giving .5 more. Result: 1.5/5.

  Thanks.

I'm Heartless...a Real Confession by Vinit K. Bansal !!!

Done with another book by Mahaveer Publishers. People may read many Foreign authors and best literary Indian authors but I enjoy reading these novels by Srishti Publishers and Mahaveer Publishers because the authors whom they publish are young, and what they speak is in accordance to the youth in non-metro cities. Hence, one can easily connect to the stories published by these two publishers. As I have already decided that after reading few more book of such kind, I am going to try the literary section of novels, but still these books will remain to be my favorite. Call me a 2 rs reader or any other crap. :-) So the book that I finished right now is "I'm Heartless... a Real Confession" by Mr. VINIT K BANSAL whose birthplace is Tohana (Haryana), earned his Masters degree from Kurukshetra University and was bestowed awards both at college and university level, At present, he is working with the State Bank of India in Delhi.

"I'm Heartless" is the book about the boy- VIREN who has been in the quest of being in relationship just like any other young boy. Finally, he finds his love in one of his friends- Rashi. He develops a good bonding with her. Everyone in their group/friend circle treated them as real couple because they treated each other as lovers. When he proposes to her, she says that she needs some more time to be sure if she thinks about him as a lover or not. He keeps waiting but never gets a proper answer from her side. In the end, when he gets to know that he'll never get her, he starts mistreating himself. His friend Max who has been through the same condition tries to bring back the courage in Viren but fails. Finally, Viren does the same that Max did when he went through the same scenario. But then, Viren's life takes a turn and he goes to Manasi who loved him right before the period when he strted loving Rashi. Now, did he got well with Manasi or Rashi came back to him, or what happened next, go get the book.

Vinit Bansal is a good writer. At least, he is good in conveying the emotions properly. he has the talent of making you smile and cry through his words. He has the skill to embed the proper words at proper place to make the story more effective and emotional. One writer should know the trick of fooling his readers even when he is not writing something special in a prt of the story, and Vinit Bansal excels even here. :-)

The initial phase of the story is not very interesting as the author has not deepened any character's insight. You just get to know them as friends of Viren. But later on, you start getting the real touch of each character and you develop the interest in the story. The not-so-common-love-story between Viren and Rashi makes this tale an interesting read. The Freddy and Sarita's scene is the best part of this book which I'll remember everytime I'll cross the book cover of "I'm Heartless". How the person who is trapped into a one-sided love story deals with his tragedy and patience is perfectly described throughout. Max and Jiya's marriage scene and what happens after that is so so disturbing. And, the decision that every character takes in the moments of turmoil is properly executed by the author. The moment when Viren comes to know that nothing is left for him after Rashi's rude behavior, you cry after reading the way he mistreats himself. And later, how he turns heartless is the main motto of writing this story by the author. Every character who dealt with one-sided love gets to know the evil side of love and takes a decision that is so unbearable to us.

I will rate this book- 3.25/5.

 Thanks.

YOU & Me & Our relationship by Nikhil Mukhija !!!

As Chetan Bhagat said in one of his seminars- "The worst scenario that the youngsters are facing now-a-days is how to get our crush as our die-hard lovers", we, the youngsters are seriously going over the top to eliminate the relationship status of Singleness and add our Relationship partner soon on Facebook to surprise all our school friends that even a loser like us can have a sweet better-half. There are many of us, who till the age of 25, get successful in being in Timepass relationship(as we call it) for more than 3-4 times, while there are some who stay single throughout their life only to get married to a girl from their village being arranged by their parents. A reason why they have been single throughout their youth period is THAT fear of getting rejected and insulted from the one whom they love. And to your rescue, "This- Engineering student by his karma at Uiet, Kurukshetra hailing from Panchkula; Smitten by the Love bug, aspires to pursue marketing from a premier B-School; Apart from writing, pretends to be a Poet, a Singer, a Debator and spends his time studying psychology, philosophy, programming, stage handling and marketing- Mr. Nikhil Mukhija" has tried to eliminate THAT fear from the boys who are still scared to approach their crush/love through the 32 chapters of his Non-fiction book- "YOU AND ME & OUR RELATIONSHIP".

YOU AND ME & OUR RELATIONSHIP is one of the most rarest book by an Indian author on this topic, else we have seen almost all the authors writing a fiction story on the similar topic. This book deals with almost all the factors that is stipulated to think about a girl before approaching her for a relationship. According to the author, you will fail without working on these factors. And even if you shall pass the first step of getting into a relationship with her, you may end up being a Dumped Guy after few days/months. And result would be- Either you will get too depressed to be of any use to this World or you will try your best to commit suicide and vindicate yourself in the list of "Losers" who didn't even think of his parents before dying on a silly reason of a girl's rejection. :-) Let me tell you personally, this book is not about getting your girlfriend who will turn your wife tomorrow, it is simply about how to approach the girl you started liking during your infatuation period and succeeding in making her your girlfriend. It's just about this. Because, the one with whom you shall marry will equally love you, you will not have to struggle so much to get her. Right?? (Sorry, Nikhil :-))

First thing that I would like to say about Nikhil Mukhija is- He is one of the writers who came into the writing world by chance, but rather than taking it for granted like others, he is trying to be ambitious in each stage of his book's success. The book is still in its initial stage, but I wish this one to get bigger so that the guy gets motivation to write more such books on analysis and great observations. Even when I didn't agree to some of his perception on relationship, few of them were really thought-provoking and made me realize that "Yes, ye bhi galti ho sakti hai mujhse apni girlfriend k saath deal karne mein." :-)

Coming to the book, the initial chapters are uninteresting and give a wrong impression of the book. It seems as if author just started writing before thinking of how to begin with chapters, but finally, the 5th chapter bought the interest in me to accelerate my reading speed. Then, "Impact of Mass Media" is sensibly written. "Early Bird catches the Worm" is the best of Nikhil's interpretations. "Myths about the opposite sex" is a 100% heart-winning chapter of this book. It is too perfect to believe. :-) And the last chapter of this book- "Suicide: Is she really worth it?" is the best chapter that the author chose to end his book with. Also, he has described this chapter more than any other chapters of this book to make it sure that any guy who would be thinking of doing this cowardly act will back off from his silly idea, and will live to gain something as Nikhil says in his Book-Profile too "Behind every successful guy there is a girl who rejects him, but then had she not dumped him, he would never have been successful!". The second half of this book is very very impressing. I found no flaw in the second-half. I am happy that Nikhil, nowhere, focused on the term "Love" but he made it sure that this book is targeted for those who want to impress their "Crush" or the one on whom they are "Infatuated" to.

Some drawbacks of this book- As, I have said, initially the book is uninteresting. Rather than using "YOU" for several times, author could have used "WE" to make it sure that the failed guys reading this books may feel as if author is also one of them. Hence, it could have bought more effect in the personality of the reader. And I have a big problem with one suggestion that is given by Nikhil- "of developing the sense of humour". I personally feel that Sense of Humour is an in-built talent/personality which can't be developed(I may be wrong). Some Generalized Statements on girl is hard to digest. Because, not all girls are same. And to the Publisher of this book- Please correct all the Spelling Mistakes that you have avoided in the first print.

As its hard to rate a Non-fiction book, I would prefer this book as a High-priority Recommendation to those who don't have guts to approach their Crush/Love, to those who think that Girls are the only target of life and to those who have broke up within few days of relationship and are still in doubt that what went wrong. Go For It!!! And the Girls, please don't read this book as you'll know all the secret that it is being told to loser like us :-) No, you can read too, because some times, even you fail.

   Thanks.
